Ryden International, Ryden, more or less runs a static website save for the property listing and the news updates sections which we've been tasked to develop. The current site was created some time ago, not by us, and on more than one occasion I have approached the management with a site redesign / make-over proposal. However, the management hasn't always been quick to jump for the idea but rather settles for revamping the already existing features. One of them, and the most crucial, is the property listing. In that respect, we developed a simple property management system that administers their online property listing on the fly.

This new introduction, up-to-date property listing, has and still is attracting a considerable number of traffic to their website not only from Kenya but also from abroad especially so Europe where the MD / founder has his roots. This improved traffic is of course good for business as it results to more sales leads and better conversion rates of online visitors to property buyers, so to speak.
Back to the story of the day, the MD, Ryden, suggested that we introduce a 'News section' on their website because he's considering writing short articles/updates on the current happenings in Kenya's properties market. Think of it as one of the many ways of boosting site traffic and also commanding a loyal readership/following which is, without a doubt, good PR for the company as it instills a level of confidence/trust in would be buyers.
The news section, found here: http://www.ryden.co.ke/news.php, boasts of a commentary feature through which readers can freely contribute to the topic on discussion by commenting on the published news items. The editor, Ryden, of course reserves the right of moderating the posted comments ensuring that only the 'proper ones' see the light of day (get published on the site). On top of that, the posted news articles are automatically archived every month making them still available to interested readers over time. May be a search functionality would be in order... mmmh! Come to think of it.
Well, we commend Ryden for taking steps towards achieving a maximum online presence.
P.S. I haven't thrown in the towel yet, on the site redesign proposal. Watch this space.
